MB&F Horological Machine No. 8 "Can-Am" Breaks New Convention with the Rotor on Top
By SENATUS Watches & Jewelry | 20 December 2016

Nicknamed HM8 'Can-Am', this new Machine combines the essence of MB&F - in particular elements from HM5/HMX and HM3 - with the spirit of Can-Am, the legendary North American motor racing series born exactly 50 years ago.

2 roll bars typical of Can-Am race cars on the timepiece serve to protect the inverted automatic movement, with its signature MB&F 'battle-axe' rotor placed on the case-top, where you would typically expect a dial.

Jumping hours and sweeping minutes are projected vertically by optical grade sapphire crystal prisms - allowing one to read the time laterally - without turning the wrist whilst driving.
