Introducing the new Kravitz Design X Les Artisans de Genève LK 01 watch, a customized and reimagined version of the iconic Rolex Daytona Ref. 116523, commonly remembered as the two-tone gold and steel Daytona.
Les Artisans de Genève, known for its work in giving a fresh new take on older or vintage watches, playing with materials, colors, movement, and other aspects whilst maintaining the inherent identity of the original.
The LK 01 is DLC-coated with a handmade gold bakelite bezel, and comes with a handmade military-style Barenia calf leather strap instead of the traditional link bracelet.
Inside, the Rolex Daytona reference 116523 is the earlier generation Rolex Daytona that first came out in 2000. Measuring 40 mm wide, the Rolex calibre 4130 movement packs a 72-hour power reserve.
On the black dial, “KRAVITZ DESIGN” is added to the model description, right below “Cosmograph” contrasted with the red seconds hand and “DAYTON”.
Through the exhibition case-back, the calibre can be seen totally blacked-out in color, with a 22-carat gold rotor and associated text in gold.
To complete the offering, the watch comes in a Bluetooth JBL leather speaker resembling a roadie trunk as a nod to Kravitz the rocker.
Fittingly, the combination is named "Travel With Music".
The Les Artisans de Genève X Kravitz Design LK 01 Rolex Daytona watch will be limited to 55 pieces and have a price of €37,800.
