Cartier has landed itself what could be the biggest breakout star this summer, tapping actor Austin Butler as the Maison’s newest Ambassador. Having spent fifteen years in television and film, Butler plays the titular lead as Elvis Presley in highly-anticipated Baz Luhrmann directed movie, Elvis.
“We are delighted to welcome Austin into the Maison as an Ambassador for North America,” said Arnaud Carrez , Cartier’s Senior Vice President Chief Marketing Officer. “As a talented actor, Austin’s bold approach to life and unique sense of style are inherently aligned with our core values here at Cartier.”
Lauded for his chic, classically cool approach to fashion, Austin as an Ambassador will attend key Cartier special events and wear Cartier creations on select red carpets, including at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022.
Co-starring Tom Hanks, Elvis will make its world premiere this evening at the upcoming 75th edition of the festival, before making its debut across theaters on 24 June.
