Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph GMT - inspired by the Grand Seiko lion
By SENATUS Editor | 13 March 2023

A new Spring Drive Chronograph GMT watch inspired by the Grand Seiko lion joins the Sport Collection. The lion, the enduring emblem of Grand Seiko, reflects the brand’s always-present aim of making the most accurate, durable, and beautiful watches possible.

The lion's presence is felt in several ways. The strong and angular case has claw-like, hairline-finished lugs that stand out from the Zaratsu-polished elements. The dial’s delicate “lion’s mane” pattern elegantly captures the beauty and strength of the lion.

With its ivory-white textured pattern, the dial has an invitingly warm feel and yet creates an instantly powerful impact as it reflects the light from every angle with the quiet brilliance that is the distinctive Grand Seiko hallmark.

Powered by Spring Drive Caliber 9R86, SBGC253 combines the great accuracy of Spring Drive to a chronograph and GMT features
