HMX is the newest Horological Machine celebrating Swiss watchmaker's 10th Anniversary. Inspired by legendary coachbuilders like Carrozzeria Touring, the timepiece's sleek body is made of grade 5 titanium and stainless steel. Watch enthusiasts will recall HM6 was the previous most recent release, and MB&F's numbering convention does indeed takes a leap to X for 10.

On the inside, the automatic movement delivers bi-directional jumping hours and trailing minutes displayed vertically via dual sapphire crystal prisms. It is powered by a special winding rotor in 22K gold, engraved with the label's anniversary slogan: "A creative adult is a child who survived". A sapphire crystal top protects the machinery below, revealing "engine block"-like bridges with rocker covers and oil caps which can be unscrewed during servicing, to lubricate the jewels below.

Available in 4 legendary racing colours of Lotus Black, Ferrari Red, Bugatti Blue or British Racing Green in a limited edition of 20 priced at US$30,000 each, the latest celebratory brainchild of Maximilian Büsser is an unconventional combination of optical engineering and mechanical watchmaking, making the HMX a true driver’s watch.
