By Men's Journal Online | 11 January 2015

Topman designer Gordon Richardson presented a greatly ‘70s inspired collection which embraced the individuality and emblematic of the English phenomena, opened up the first show of London Collections: Men. Entitling the show Bombay City Rollers, British fast fashion retailer clearly delivered the punk elements through the fabrication and proportions of each look, where the chemistry happened in between chunky plaid and tartan suits with ombre mohair coats, which captured the era of British glam rock effortlessly, while the bangs and frowzy hair on the models added a great combination towards the entire look. At Topman Design, this collection offer clothes that highlighted on two main ‘60s/’70s benchmarks, overlap between hippie and mod styles.

“This is a creative outlet and we are looking ahead so that at some point, a lot of these ideas will filter down. At the show I like to install an atmosphere, create a feeling,” said Topman’s design director Gordon Richardson.
