New York Fashion Week Ordered to Vacate Lincoln Center Venue
By SENATUS News | 24 December 2014

Judge Margaret Chan of New York has ordered the twice-yearly New York Fashion Week organised and owned by IMG Worldwide, to vacate its current space in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center after a final showing in February 2015. This is a result of a lawsuit filed by residents in the area who complained about disruptive generator noise as well as not being able to use the park.

"Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Inc. shall not renew the IMG Fashion sub-license agreement, which expires in February 2015, and the city shall not approve the use of Damrosch Park for New York City Fashion Week after that date," wrote Judge Chan for the Supreme Court of the State of New York in the settlement agreement.

"IMG Fashion shall vacate the premises and remove all tents and other Fashion Week equipment from the park."
