Two time Oscar nominee, two time Golden Globe winner and Qantas Ambassador-at-Large John Travolta arrived in Dubai yesterday to raise awareness on the new partnership between Emirates and Qantas airlines. He will spend a week in Dubai seeing the sights and promoting the link between the airlines.

"I kind of bullied my way here," he said.

"I had the word that Emirates and Qantas were forming a partnership, and I said 'OK, I need to be there. That part of the world hasn't seen me in person and I could help promote this partnership very well'."

Travolta travelled to the emirate with his sister and children from London yesterday morning.
